Quality Assurance Objectives For 2012

1. Certification Objectives

- To confirm that the Quality Management System at the enterprise is in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 during compliance certification.

- To certify metal products for pressure vessels according to the requirements of the European Directive 97/23/EG and AD 2000 Merkblatt W0 Code.

- To extend the Aviation Register Approval.

2. Process Improving Objectives

- To master and implement advanced design of high-duty magnesium modified cast-iron molds without hot top for ingots 4.5 and 6.5 t in weight.

- To develop and implement the technology of deoxidation and microalloying in a ladle furnace for corrosion resistant steel using new wire feeding machine and Multi-Lab Ñelox instrument.

- To improve production technology for 08Õ17Í13Ì2(Ò) steel grade providing impact energy at least 60 J.

3. Quality Enhancing Objectives

- To reduce company’s total rejection losses comparing to 15% specified.

- To enhance the quality of steel grade 95Õ5ÃÌ processed in the Forging Press Shop and Forging Shop reducing rejection resulted from inner defects by 50%.

4. Innovation Activity Objectives

- To install the Spectrolab spectrometer in the express laboratory of the Steel Melting Shop 3.

- To install the automated hardness testing machine for hardenability band measuring (Jominy end-quench test) in the Test Shop.

5. Procurement Objectives

- To provide the supply of titanium sponge of ÒÃ-ÒÂ grade produced by GP ZTMK or by JSC Corporatsiya VSMPO-AVISMA, Russia, in amount at least 100%.

- To deliver pilot lot of the Lintorfer moulds without hot top for production of 4.5-t and 6.5-t ingots.

6. Human Resources Management Objectives

- To introduce the 5S system for steel melting production (Steel Melting Shop 2 and Steel Melting Shop 3).

- To develop and implement a warranty system on the services of auxiliary production.

- To assess the main production personnel (a group of steelmaking and steel processing shops) and the personnel of six departments in three functional services.

- To develop and introduce a system of distribution and accounting of booking documents for treatment or recreation at the enterprise.
