Fifty-five years is quite a long time but the achievements made over those years in the workshop are both extensive and impressive. For more than a half-century, our shop workforce has sorted, selected and tested scrap metals. Due to the professionalism of the shop's team, the production personnel no longer have concerns about radioactive and highly explosive metals.

It is important to note that even now the sorting and processing workshop is not satisfied: the production processes are continuously being improved upon and upgraded, working conditions are becoming better and the material and technical base grows and expands. Considerable investment is being made in equipment upgrading programs. The shearing press, manufactured by AKROS, France, was introduced and put into operation. Special equipment was acquired for light-weight scrap processing.

For the previous year, scrap processing was 101.4% of planned. Owing to the shop personnel's streamlined and well-organized work, shop expenses were cut by more than 1.5 million hryvnias.
